Inside Rainline's Privacy Architecture
How Rainline keeps your API keys, conversations, and metadata safe using macOS Keychain, local execution, and zero telemetry.
Privacy isn’t a feature you bolt on later—it’s a foundation you build from day one. Here’s how Rainline protects your data.
Keychain storage
Your API keys are encrypted and stored in the macOS Keychain, not in plaintext files or remote databases. This means even if someone gains access to your machine, they can’t easily extract your credentials.
Zero telemetry
Rainline does not collect usage analytics, conversation snippets, or crash reports without your explicit consent. We don’t know what you’re asking your models, and we prefer to keep it that way.
Local tool execution
When you invoke an MCP tool through Rainline, the tool runs on your machine—not on our servers. Your data never transits through Pragma Digital infrastructure unless you explicitly choose a cloud-backed DevKit feature.
